The Agency for Sustainable Mediterranean Cities and Territories (AVITEM) is a public cooperation agency created in 2012, committed to facilitate cooperation, capacity building and experience sharing in the Mediterranean area. AVITEM leads and manages cooperation projects aiming at testing solutions for a sustainable transition in territories and cities, provides expertise in the fields of urban planning and territorial development and builds the capacities of public and private decision-makers.
AVITEM is the lead partner of the COOL NOONS project, bringing its extensive expertise in the management of large EU projects and its specific experience in the fields of sustainable tourism, heritage preservation, climate change adaptation and nature-based solutions.
AVITEM team is based in Marseille, France, but the projects where the Agency is involved cover many areas of Europe and the Mediterranean.
